My point of departure, what drives me to create is both my origin and the place unknown, waiting to be discovered. I am the result of the random confluence of lives. Just like my ancestors, I have become a migrant myself: I live in a new city where my eyes get lost in the horizontal kiss of two blues. While I transform matter, I am in constant dialogue with the mixed feelings being drawn and blurred between places. I reflect upon my transient nature and on the universe’s precious geometrical forms to find answers. My pieces of jewellery, impregnated with my fragility and strength, accompany me in my wandering – until they complete their own cycle and are carried by someone else, becoming part of their own journey. With the Reconstruction series, I project the foundations of an imaginary place.
